frequently asked questions

what is sage studios?

sage studios is a strength-based reformer experience built to improve muscular endurance, strength, and mobility. expect slow control, targeted burn, and smart progressions that leave you feeling sculpted, aligned, and energized.

rooted in our s.a.g.e. method: strength, alignment, growth, and empowerment.

is this pilates?

we’re reformer-based, but the experience is strength-forward. think reformer training with a focus on resistance, form, and muscular endurance.

what should i expect in my first class?

you’ll get an orientation to the machine and key cues before class begins. our coaches will guide you through setup, form, and modifications throughout class.

how early should i arrive?

please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first class so we can walk you through the machine and get you set up. if this is your first class and you arrive after class starts, we will not be able to safely onboard you to the equipment.

what is your late arrival policy?

to keep class safe and on time, the studio door locks 5 minutes after class begins. we allow a 5-minute grace period. once the door locks, you will not be able to join class. if you arrive after the grace period, you will be marked as a no‑show and your class credit will be forfeited. if you’re running behind, please text or email us. we’ll do our best to help, but we can’t pause class once it starts.

what should i wear?

wear whatever helps you move confidently and comfortably. athletic wear that allows a full range of motion is ideal, and layers are welcome. grippy socks are required for safety and control.

do you offer modifications for injuries or pregnancy?

yes. let your coach know before class (and add notes when booking if prompted). we can offer smart modifications, but we may recommend a private session first depending on the situation.

what if i’m new to fitness or getting back into it?

you’re welcome here. our coaching is designed to meet you where you are, with options to scale up or down. consistency matters more than intensity.

do you offer private training?

yes. we offer privates, duets, and private group sessions. if you want a more personalized plan, injury-aware coaching, or a deep dive on form, private training is a great place to start.

how do i book?

you can book directly on our schedule page. once you create an account, you can manage bookings, waitlists, and purchases in one place. our app is going to be announced soon!

what is your cancellation policy?

to be fair to our community and coaches, we enforce a 12 hour cancellation window. you’ll see the exact policy details at checkout and in your booking confirmation.

what happens if a class is full?

join the waitlist. spots often open as schedules shift. if you get in, you’ll receive a notification, so keep an eye on your email and texts.

where can i store my belongings?

we have cubbies by the front desk to store personal items during class

can i bring a friend?

yes, if your class pack includes guest privileges or you book them separately. for private groups, we can accommodate up to the number of reformers available.

are pets allowed?

for safety and comfort, pets are not allowed in the studio. service animals are welcome as long as they can remain calm and settled throughout the visit, including during class, and do not disrupt the experience for others. if you have questions ahead of time, please reach out so we can support you.
